FROM GRASS ROOTS

Akers of Lawn is a family-owned business which was formed in 1986 by Dal and Jacqi Akers.

We started out by selling lawn and garden products, but soon realised that established lawn care and maintenance was lacking in South Australia. A lawn coring service began and a need for more services grew from there. Soon scarifying, oversowing and top dressing became specialties of ours and eventually we expanded our staff and training to be able to accommodate a huge variety of soft and hard landscapes.

After 35 years of happy customers and learning what South Australian residents need we are excited and proud to say we are the only company in South Australia who can provide any outdoor living idea a client envisions; from new lawns, garden beds, paved paths, irrigation work or an entire yard renovation. We hate to disappoint so we have gone the way of offering the whole package, ensuring the customer only has to deal with one company when planning out their space.

We, Dal and Jacqi Akers, feel truly blessed to be able to call Akers of Lawn a true family business. We are grateful to be able to work closely with our family; Brad, Scott, Julie and our daughter in law, Karlyn Akers. Over time our employees have also become close to us and we consider them part of the family too.
